Restaurant Jeonju Myoungga, Korean BBQ | Seri Hartamas

I bought a voucher on Korean food from Everyday.com.my in July. However, I managed to spare time to visit the place 2 days before the voucher expired. It is located at Desa Sri Hartamas and the location is very easily to be spotted because of it big and bright signboard. The name of the restaurant is Jeonju Myoungga which takes after a very famous restaurant brand in Jeonju. Jeonju is located in South Korea and it is famous for its Korean food. Besides, the owner and his wife were born in Jeonju.

I purchased for Korean Full Set Meal Jeonju Baek Ban for 2 persons at RM27 (original price RM55).

What I get from the Set Meal are:
  • Kimchi Jjigae (Kimchi Stew)
  • Doenjang Jjigae (Bean Paste Stew)
  • Steamed Egg
  • Stir-fried Spicy Pork
  • Grilled Fish
  • 8 Side Dishes
  • 2 Steam Cooked Rice
The meal come with cold water that I could refill for two time. However, the water was more than enough for both of us.

8 side dishes that we could refill.  Those 8 side dishes are kimchi, crab stick, fried groundnut and anchovies, fried bean sprout, fried long bean, boiled carrot and potatoes, wakame seaweed and kimchi pineapple.

Grilled Fish
This Korean Grilled Fish just look like those deep fried fish, but the fish does not bring crunchiness like it looks like to be.  It taste very normal, nothing much to boost about.

Doenjang Jjigae ( Bean Paste Stew)
Doenjang Jjigae is one of the traditional Korean stewed dish made with fermented soybean paste. The distinctive taste of this dish makes it distinguishable from other stews. It taste really good. I personally like it very much. Do not miss this all-time favourite dish!

Steamed Egg
 Simple and yummy egg dish.

Kimchi Jjigae (Kimchi Stew)
Kimchi Jjigae is a stewed dish made with kimchi along with other ingredients such as tofu, pork and vegetable. It is rich in flavour and best to have with rice. I personally do not quite fancy this kimchi stew as it make me feel thirsty.

Stir-fried Spicy Pork
This dish is prepared with the Korean red pepper paste. It is a spicy Korean food. For Malaysians out there, it is totally palatable to your taste bud! I love it very much.

Korean Steamed Rice
The rice are more sticky than those normal Malaysian rice we had. One bowl is enough to make you feel full for the whole night.

Pajeon (Korean Pancake)
Pajeon is a pancake-like korean dish with green onion as its prominent ingredient. The pajeon is a bit oily but it taste quite nice. Pajeon was not listed in the voucher, I guess it is an additional complimentary dish from the restaurant.

Overall I like the place and food, I guess I'll be coming back very soon.
