NY Steak Shack | Sunway Pyramid

The new American style diner that I spotted quite long ago in IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, just never had the chance to try out. There are two outlets located in Klang Valley (Midvalley and Sunway Pyramid) and one outlet in Putrajaya. Today, I am going to introduce you about this shop that I visited recently in Sunway Pyramid.

NY Steak Shack uses New York City as their concept  where they think NY is the food capital of the world - known for its variety of ethnic cuisines, great restaurants, and the ability to find any kind of food at any hour of the day. American style of dining concept with New York City as their main decoration including their menu.

Soft Drink- RM 6.25 (Refillable)

Only soft drink is refillable not juices. There are 6 types of soft drinks to choose from, e.g: Pepsi, Lipton Ice Tea, Mirinda, Revive, 7-up and Mountain Dew.

Ribeye Steak- 27.45 (150gm), 34.87 (200 gm)

Their steaks come in two sizes, where you can pick either 150gm or 200 gm. He ordered the 200gm Ribeye steak with medium cook but it came out to be a bit too raw with fresh blood still popping out. With the price, don't expect too high on the quality of steak they used, plus their serving time is fast too. I think they should have put more effort at least in the cooking method. There are 4 types of sauces ( Demiglace, Black Pepper Corn, Caramelized Onions and Button Mushroom) and 6 types of sides (Fresh Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Coleslaw, Corn on the Cob and Pumpkin rice) to choose from. We both like the mashed potatoes, creamy and delicious.

Southwest Chicken- RM 21.09

This dish comes with 200gm of chicken breast, marinated with mixed spices, onion and garlic, and served with choice of two sides. Both of us loves the chicken more than the beef. This Southwest chicken comes with sweet and spicy flavour, with a bit of Masala taste, suitable to those who like intense flavour. 

Overall food was not bad and price is quite reasonable. If you are looking for a "fast-food" western food, this is probably the best choice you can pick in terms of the price and quality.
