My Elephant Thai Restaurant | Section 17

Last week was my brother's birthday and he picked this place to celebrate his 22th Birthday. It is located at Section 17, under the apartment block. This place served all Thai food, for those who love thai food should come over and try it out. There is another outlet located in Hartamas.

The design of the place has the fine dinning setting and it looks very comfort inside. I heard from my brother that the place have to make reservation to dine-in as it is always packed during dinner time even in weekdays. So it is better to call for reservation before you dine-in.

KrapChiap Cooler(Thai Roselle)-RM3.00

I love this Roselle drink, not very sweet and very refreshing. Must have!

Khai Jiao Ho Mok-RM15

This is their special egg omelette with fish otak-otak. Since brother want some omelette, the waiter recommend us to order one of their speciality omelette. I don't really like the taste as it has a lot of herbs and anyway where is the otak-otak?

Gai Tod Gratiam Prik Thai-RM15

This is their special deep fried chicken strips with Kaffic lime leaf, garlic and crushed thai peppercone. I like this dish very much, very crispy and good. Must try!

Plah Meuk Yang Prik Klue-RM21

This is the grilled squid with chilli and salt which is recommended by the waiter there. It taste really good but a bit spicy to me. Must try!

Tom Som with Seafood-RM20

Clear Galangal, Lemongrass and Lime Soup with aromatic thai herbs. This is their best selling soup and they recommend it with fish but we ordered the seafood because brother like seafood a lot. The soup was quite spicy, mom wasn't dare to take much. Although the soup looks clear but it really have the spiciness like those tom yam soup. Only 2 big prawns in the soup?

Jungle Vegetable of the day (Paku)-RM15

They served different vegetables everyday and normally they have like paku, egg plant, four angled bean, kang kung and hunag di miao. I like the paku, stir fried with chilli and onion, always my favourite vegetable.

The rice served here is actually a mixture of Jasmine rice and Brown rice which we can hardly see any restaurants provide it now days. It is RM3 per pax for dine in and RM5 per box for take-away. They served the rice in a big bowl which you take as much as you can eat however they do stated in their menu that " Our per pax " Dine-in" rice is "All you can eat " hence we do not allow take away from leftover of the serving rice bowl."

(CLOSED) Kimchi Korean Restaurant | Tropicana City Mall

I brought my brother to visit this shop since he has not try any Korean Food before. We have pass through this shop for many times but never try it out. The design of the shop was quite simply and nice. it actually located beside the Otak-Otak place, very easy to spot the pinky signboard but the shop name is abit small.

Orders came along with 6 side dishes. The side dishes are more to our Malaysian's taste.

Tak Book Ko Kee (chicken) -RM 38.80

The potion is quite big, enough for 3 person. I personally like it very much especially the sauce. It is a bit spicy and sweet mix up with cabbage, mushrooms, chilli and chicken meat. There are two choices to choose from either chicken or seafood.

Kimchi Jjgae-RM 18.80

The soup wasn't really nice except it taste spicy only.

Dwen Jang Jjigae-RM16.80

We ordered the seafood Bean Paste which came with some shrimp, clams, tofu and mushrooms. The taste wasn't strong at all. Like I mentioned before I love Doenjang Jjigae very much but this really disappointed me. 

Pa Jeon-RM16.80

Korean Pancake that have no taste and the pancake is so soggy. Barely anyone want to continue after the 1st try. I can said that it is a bit failure on the pancake.

Aladdin the Musical-Gala Premier

Last Friday, I got free tickets from AllMalaysia.info to watch the gala premier of Aladdin the Musical which was presented at Sunway Lagoon. The show was suppose to start at 8pm but due to the rain and VIPs, they have to delay the show to around 9pm. 

  This is the entrance to the show. JD and Dilly-Mixfm DJs were there too with costumes.

A very nice stage which really bring out the feel of middle east.

The market place where Aladdin meet Jasmine (the princess). In the show, there are some chickens(real livestocks) wandering around the place. We were so attracted by the chicks and chickens at that time..haha.. 

The hip-hop Genie that dance whenever he was call. Very funny genie. He even dance the Nobody Nobody korean song.

The flying carpet which Genie provide for Aladdin to impress Jasmine.

Lastly, the dancers bowed for the end of the show.

All the dancers and cast prepare to say goodbye.

Too many photos in my computers which unable for me to load everything in, I just picked some of them. You can still see it from my FB photos. I love the show. It is not the original Aladdin story we watch in the movie but the storyline is the same except that it is more modern and funnier show with lots of recently songs I always listen in Mixfm.

For your information, in case you are interested in the show. The musical start from 25 Nov 2011- 2 Jan-2012. There is still plenty of time for you to watch it with your friends and family.
