Satay Satay | Paradigm Mall

A short while back I tried out the Satay Satay restaurant in Paradigm Mall. It's located at the lower ground floor, just opposite of Tesco's entrance. As this is my first time visiting this franchise, I would say its quite interesting. Lets see what kind of food they have.

Chinese Tea-RM1.50, Soya Bean-RM2.80
The Chinese tea is quite pricey. RM1.50 is enough for 3 glasses or more of Chinese tea at hawker stalls, but then again this is a franchise restaurant in a shopping mall. I guess this is pretty much the norm in KL nowadays. However, the soya bean drink is really nice, not too sweet, yet very fragrant. Glad to have tried it.

Kampung Fried Rice - RM9.90
I ordered the kampung fried rice as I was in the mood for it that day. It looks and smells great actually, but one taste of it and I was shocked at how salty the whole dish is. They put alot of soya sauce to the point I can really call this soya sauce fried rice. I would have preferred to cook my own fried rice and eat at home... If you really like salty food, maybe it suites you, I don't know. All I know that this dish has exceeded my tolerance for saltiness in the food.

Cantonese Fried Kuey Teow - RM9.90
I also ordered the cantonese fried kuey teow and unfortunately, it is also very salty, but not as bad as the fried rice. At least there is still some of the sauce that balances the taste, but I can still taste a strong smell of soya sauce in it, which is weird 'cause I don't remember cantonese fried kuey teow needs so much of soya sauce.

Chicken Satay Set - RM12.90 (10 sticks)
Nevertheless, their chicken satay really did save the day. It was very very nice indeed, I would say better than Kajang satay. But this was expensive and we couldn't just fill our tummies with satay alone. So it was best eaten as a side dish to complement the main dishes. Too bad I think, if they had focused on improving their main dishes, they could have attracted much more customers to come for their satay. Let's hope that they would do that in the future.
